A Help! Question
First off: Fashion sizing is a bitch.
Here is my dilemma: my 2010-size-10 friend does not fit into the 2006-size-10 dress I sewed for her. It barely fits over her shoulders and would never zip up.
The underskirt is a purple cotton, but the over-skirt is a delicate organza with a hand-sewn binding at the bottom (which I am loathe to destroy.)
I have already unpicked the pleats, but my question is if there is any other way to widen the waist and yoke of the skirt without disturbing the bottom hems?
