I made a dress! From scraps and not from scratch. This is actually a patchwork of 3 different outfits. Hand-sewn, by the way, since I'm scared of sewing machines. See, during my christening it was foretold that before my 16th birthday I will prick my finger on a spindle in a spinning wheel and fall into a deep slumber -- Oh wait, that's not me.

The sheer fabric is from the inside lining of an old dress. I fugured it wouldn't be missed so I snipped away. It was the most difficult part, just because the fabric's so fragile.

The bodice is from another dress, a relic from the early 90s. I didn't change anything with it save for turning it inside out. It had a horrid black and white print in front and was a little worse for wear. Fortunately, the dress itself is so well-made you can't tell that it's inside out!
