Project Registration: White Cutsew Blouse
Project Title : Baby Blouse Inspired Cutsew
Short Project Description: I am seriously lacking in blouses and tops. I bought the Baby Winter Lucky Pack in black and would like to wear the JSK to an event at the end of the month. The simplicity and elegance of the blouse that came with the pack is great, but it is way too small for me. So I want to use it as inspiration and a jumping off point to make my own, but in jersey instead of shirting.
Projected Deadline: 25 March 2012
Pattern(s) Used: Three patterns will be combined in order to pull this off: (a) New Look 6078 for the majority of the blouse, (b) GLB Vol.38 Innocent World Collar because I like the shape better and need to enlarge the neck opening a bit, and (c) GLB Boudoir Innocent World Blouse sleeves which I will merge with the the New Look sleeves in order to get the volume and length desired.
Materials needed: As I am tight on budget this month I want to limit myself to working only with what I have in my studio. White 100% cotton jersey, rose trim, 2 cotton laces, and some basic pearly buttons.
Challenges or obstacles : As I am pressed for time and don't want to take too many risks, I am going to make it a pullover but still sew on buttons to give the illusion of a button up blouse. I do really, really need to learn to sew button holes, but that will have to wait till my next project.
