Mhhh wah. So, I've read Jeff Lindsay's DEXTER books over the weekend. And loved the hell out of them! fragilecat gave them to me with a nice written warning tucked into the pages with the most gruesome stuff. Which I found medium gruesome thanks to being jaded by some darker vampire revenge BtVS fics. Dismemberment ahoj

Maybe it was the fact that I read them at my Grandma's lying on a blanket in the sun, listening to The Cat Empire, Madonna and Benny Benassi that made them milder for me... who knows? ;P

na hab ich gesagt dexter ist toll &hearts, nur gut das ganze!!!! Nur sind die kinder von rita in der serie sehr viel weniger "traumatisiert" als im buch, findeste nicht?

Bah, innem Tunnel. XD Aber wie gesagt, megablutige BtVS fic. Schlimmer, vieeel schlimmer. Aber die müssen ja auch nicht innem Verlag veröffentlicht werden...

Die Kids finde ich im Buch 1000x besser! Die haben was von den Addams kids. :D Die töten auch, juhuu! Das war so gut mit Cody.
Und im TV: -.- Öd. Dafür ist der Mann umso beschissener.

Ja ich werde das heute auch noch feritg schauen, so isses nich.

ganz andere umgebung, nu? ich war eigentlich auch schon mit blutigeren sachen konfrontiert, aber die tatsache, das er noch am leben war... fand ich einfach zu grausam. Die Vorstelleung das sowas in der art wirklich passiert ist...

JA viel besser!!! die sind viel mehr damaged als in der serie, da sind sie irgendwie doch recht gesprächig und, ja, glücklich.
Und Ritas man kam im uch ja eigentlich nur am Rande vor. Und das mit Rudi ist ja auch anders.

Thankfully I watched Dexter the series before I read the first book. It would have ruined teh series for me.

I can't express how much I freaking love the series but the book is just ok IMO. Thus, I've only read the first book but I do have love for Mr. Lindsay for creating Dexter.

READ THE SECOND!! Imho, it was wayyy better than the first. A whole bucketful of more gruesome as well. Btw.
