Just like everything you write, this is precisely what I adore. So many of my buttons pushed, so many artful turns of phrase, such delicious incorporation of canon into this wonderfully tragic, forbidden pairing. Your writing is masterful.
There is a short story called The Storm, I think it's by William Faulkner... same theme of Ceraunophilia... it was required reading in college ;)
