Books Read in 2010

...I'd hoped to break 100, but I got pretty close, and this only includes books I read for the first time, so a count including rereads would probably be more than 100...anyway, that's my goal for 2011!

Oh, you don't count re-reads? I always count those. I don't think I did a ton of them last year, but I probably wouldn't be much above 100 without them.

What did you end up thinking of the second Kushiel trilogy? I didn't like it nearly as well, though I think I'd like it better on a re-read.

I originally started my list to keep track of the new books I'd read, and when it occurred to me that I should count rereads it was August or something, but I might this year!

The second trilogy didn't appeal to me at all for a while, but once I started it I actually enjoyed it pretty well. Obviously not as much as the first, although I did end up liking Imriel as a character. Plus the soft-core porn was less integral to the plot, so I could skim most of it without missing much!

Have you read her new series at all, the one set in the same world but a few hundred years later?

So far, I've liked the new series a lot! Not as much as Phedre, but a lot more than Imriel. I've only read the first one, but should really get around to the second one soon. It's been sitting on my shelves for months!

Interesting! I read some online reviews that didn't seem too positive, so I haven't read it. But I might pick it up once the whole thing is finished.
