I love how this unfolded, Caz's and Severus' voices here are spot on, and the Harry/Pansy made me smile.
I think it fitting that there was a serious consequence to Harry's time with DD in Kings Cross, and that Severus is the one to solve their problem. *nods*
Fabulous job with this!

Thank you. I've always wondered about the consequences of Harry dying, and it just seemed to fit here.

Inventive, clever -- a very good read. Caz is an engaging OC, and Severus's voice is excellent. Love these lines in particular:

I assume that, as my child, you are intelligent enough to realise that I am not a nice man. Life did not permit me that luxury. I make no apologies for who I am or what I have done. Our world would be a very different place if my life had followed another path.

Great story, with a brilliant OC and a very fitting and IC Snape. I just would have loved to see himself and not only "hear" him. You don't happen to plan a sequel where Caz is actually meeting Severus? ;o)

Thank you. I don't have a sequel planned at this point, but stranger things have been known to happen.

I like the spare voice of your story It has just enough information for me to be able to feel my way along with Caz. Without excessive embelishment, I was able to experience the emotions right along with Severus' son. It's a great story!

what a marvelous insightful read. It's so like Severus to arrange everything so carefully, and to protect himself from contact, and yet to protect everyone he loves so steadfastly!

Seeing through the eyes of the next gen was a powerful experience; Caz's natural inquisitiveness and artistic nature make him a wonderful narrator.

Thank you! And, yes, Severus does need to protect himself, even as he protects everyone else.
