Excellent reading week, minus the last one. And the 'cat seemed nice' made me cackle.

This was the week that I read A Darker Shade of Magic and mostly enjoyed it. I've got the second book in the series to start this week.

That's another that's been on my want to read list for some time now. Hope that the second book is good, too.

I'm about 1/3rd through the second book and I'm enjoying it more than the first! The first is a lot of set-up of the world and the characters, so in book two the reader can just jump in to the fun.

Well, three out of four ain’t bad, though I thought the last book would have been the most interesting. Goes to show, you can’t judge a book by its cover…or its title. 😉 But The Rycke sounds pretty interesting.

At least The Rycke was something different for that genre, instead of the big posturing alpha male. It made a nice change.

I did get your message in time! I've checked out that promo twice now and alas, I don't think it's for me... or else I'm not checking properly. I'm not really a romance reader and I feel like maybe it's more made for that. But thanks for thinking of me!
