Yikes on The Unforgiven, sorry it was so bad.

Just finished my first KJ Charles book last week. It releases on 3/7 and is called The Secret Lives of Country Gentlemen and you might enjoy it! She writes good characters.

There has to be a hero, or at least a likable protagonist for me to be able to enjoy a book. Otherwise, it's just a drag.

I have the Magpies book; I really should read them. they're somewhere in my TBR pile.

There are a couple more Magpies books, though they're only set in that world, not about Crane and Stephen.

Yes! I pretty much hated everyone. I forget to mention that once she figures out the truth about her heritage, this girl, who's been raised with an older brother as a sibling since she was a baby and only knows him as a sibling, suddenly gets the hots for him. It was super creepy. Definitely should have given this one a 1.

I did see those extended universe books. The main character was introduced in the book I just finished. But I didn't like him as a character so I don't want to continue with his story. Thanks for letting me know, though. I appreciate it.
