What a fun meme! I love movies. I need to do this!

And I see you are on a Robert Carlyle movie binge. I go through similar binges...

I'm far behind on my flist, as always, but I look forward to checking it out!

And yes, Carlyle always been one of those actors that I admired and thought was super talented but rarely actively sought out. I watched Stargate: Universe strictly because he was in it, but somehow missed out on Once Upon A Time (the hazards of not having cable) until it was recced to me recently. The things he does with Rumplestiltskin made me realize anew just how talented he is, so I'm loving watching all his movies. (Plus? Hella sexy.)

at a midnight matinee in college and as a result I was in a state of hyper alert for THREE days after. It remains the most horrifying zombie movie I have seen, and I have seen almost all of them. Argh! Zombies!

DotD love! *hugs* I only saw it on TV in my teens and it is definitely the root cause of my zombie love (and terror.) HARE KRISHNA ZOMBIE, dude. That guy haunted my dreams.

I stupidly saw the remake IN A MALL THEATRE and let me tell you, walking out through the empty mall was also terrifying. Then when we got outside to the near-deserted streets and some guy walked out from behind a bus my friend and I nearly jumped two feet in the air. Zombies, man.

My dorm suite mate claimed to be unaffected, but as I was walking down the hall to the shower I noticed her door ajar and crept inside where she was combing her hair at the mirror. Her sister saw me coming and grinned, realizing what I was doing. I just silently walked over and stood at her shoulder and just stared at her. She finally noticed me and screamed her head off!

It was great, but seriously, the hyperawareness was unreal, a guy stepped out of an elevator as I was walking by and I nearly punched him in the head. So, yeah, zombies, man! It did not help that we had to walk past a cemetery on the way back from the movie.

Hyperawareness is the perfect description for that state. I must admit that I'm always scope out the exits wherever I am and do the "if zombies attacked right now, what would I do/what could I use to fight/how would I escape" thing in my head. And I'm more alert/aware in places like shopping malls and underground parking garages. My friends always joke that while other women are keeping an eye out for potential bad guys, I'm on zombie watch. (And it's true, heh.)

I used to have to RUN doing laundry at my old building because there was a light with a short in it that made it sort of 'strobe' and it reminded me of the scene with the hanging lightbulb and Hare Krishna Zombie in DotD!

I still love Die Hard, too. And Plunkett and MacLeane - wow. I though I was the only one to have ever seen this movie! Fun is a great way to describe it. It was also my first taste of Alan Cumming. Great romp!

I'm really enjoying this meme and seeing what movies people love, I did it too and wish I could have chosen more than 10, so many I could have added to the list. :)

I am behind (as always) on my flist but will definitely check it out. I had a hard time narrowing it down to ten films as well!
