I am thrilled that you are also made of squeee! But I have to admit, I am totally scratching my head at the read of a brother/sister dynamic. Like okay, if you see friendship, I can... kind of get that. There IS friendship there. But brother/sister? If my brother looked at me the way Daryl looked at Beth across the table -- I would run away screaming while suggesting he go into therapy. LOL
And I also have to admit -- I hadn't even considered Daryl being, like, the light for Carol in all this. And man, I would HATE that. I mean, part of that is that I am just at the point with Carol where I was with Andrea in S3 -- like I just want her dead. (Sorry, Carol fans.) But most of it is that I don't want his journey -- and by extension, Beth's -- tied up in Carol's story. I think it's HIS story, and he's so very at the beginning of it. He's still processing everything, figuring out what he feels, how he wants to live. Realizing that he DOES want to live, and not just survive. I feel like it'd be far too soon for him to be able to
( ... )
So glad to see Bob getting some love! I just think he's an average guy who has a problem and he's trying to get along. I really enjoy him! And his little kiss with Sasha was sweet.
I'm also hoping that Terminus isn't the cliffhanger, but it seems more and more that it is. I still have a verrrrry bad feeling about that place.
I like Beth and Daryl as friends, but not more.. I think Daryl might be skeeved out by that. She is so young. I hate Joe and the psycopaths. They need to get eaten. Maggie was safe until Sasha called the walkers. Three episodes....are you sure? So it seems like lots of people think Bob is a little weird...me included. m. :)
I think Daryl is sort of... flummoxed by how much emotion Beth is bringing out in him. He's seeing her in a new light for the first time, and considering things. Could settle into a deep friendship, could be more. I'm willing to wait to find out. :) (I certainly didn't see ANY skeeviness. Part of the 'new light' he sees her in -- part of what the last episode was about -- is that she's a young woman with all of that empathy and understanding inherited from Hershel. Wise beyond her years.)
I hope Joe and the troglodytes don't last long. Daryl needs to get away from them ASAP.
(Beth is supposed to be 18. Daryl is supposed to be mid-30's. And it's the ZA and I really don't think age is a factor anymore. :) As I mentioned to Gryph above, if my brother looked at me the way Daryl looked at Beth, I'd run screaming from the room and get him into therapy. I 'see' romantic love, but if it settles into deep friendship then fine. But sibling? Ewww no.

You still think Bob's weird? Poor Bob!

Also, I think this was the best Daryl I've ever seen from Norman. If he wanted to nominate himself for an Emmy, this is the episode he should submit.
