I fear my computer has gone to the great beyond. He shut himself down last night & is making no start up noises whatsoever. Good thing I've been saving money coz I'm thinkin' I'll be shopping tomorrow. *siiiiigh*.

Being able to post this from my iphone is pretty cool, though.

No, last time it happened they said it was the power cord. I bought a new power cord. ... it wasn't the power cord. (But thanks for the advice. It's good advice, except where Mr. Willis is concerned. LOL)

Mr. Willis had a whole giant list of things wrong with him -- among them his DVD didn't work and I actually couldn't right-click without freezing and having to shut down the system. It was time.

Meh, I hate that when that happens. Its always when you've forgot to back stuff up for a long time too D: Still, once you're at peace with the idea getting shiny new laptops are fun ^_^

And when you throw the old one out keep the harddrive - you can buy casing now to turn it into an external harddrive so you can a) retrieve everything stuck on it and b) have extra space to save stuff in future \o/

*nods* He gave me enough warning that it was going to happen, so luckily I did have practically everything backed up. I lost alllllllllllll my screencaps though. ALL MY SCREENCAPS. Sure, I can make them again, but. ALL OF THEM. ALL THE PRETTY.

Oooh, thanks for the info. Not sure I'd actually ever know how to do that, but my nephew just might. :)
