It's Neil Diamond Week. Each contestant sings two songs, which I've grouped together in my mini-review.

I have to say I liked Syesha this week. She looked good on stage and she seemed to make it her own (to quote the judges). Brooke seemed boring and David A. was just blah. Jason is just cute and I have a tough time being objective. Brooke should go home and I am with you David A. could go but he won't.

Syesha has improved tremendously over the past few weeks, I think. She seems to realize now that she doesn't really have a big diva voice, so she's playing more to her strengths. It's unfortunate that she was screechy for so many weeks and really lost fans because of that.

It blows my mind that Brooke has made it this far. She HAS to be the one to go tomorrow; she's just not talented enough to be in the bottom 4. BUT, I think Syesha will ultimately be the loser tomorrow (which would make me ridiculously happy).

As for Jason, it's not his voice that's kept him in this long - it's his pretty face. I could watch him on mute and still be smiling at the end, which is why teenage girls from coast to coast are voting for him.

David Cook is amazing and I love him. Whether he wins AI or not, he's going to be star.

David A. is starting to annoy me. I love his voice and yes we all know he's perfect in everyway, but the perfection is starting to wear thin.

I think that both Jason and Brooke have a kind of folksy vibe. I like Brooke when she's "on", but unfortunately she also seems really flaky and when she's bad, she's really really bad.

In regard to Jason -- he's SO pretty, I agree. But I give him more credit than just his looks. I really like his voice, and it's his mp3's I'm playing the most.

David Cook is so going to be this years Daughtry, except David actually has talent. :D

It bothers me that David A's imperfections don't get mentioned. His voice definitely cracked on the 2nd song, and the 1st song was just bland bland bland. But he's God to the judges (who have already decided what they're going to say before the contestants sing anyway, as Paula proved last night.)

Is it just me or am I just getting way uninterested in this already? I mean, previously I would religiously go to rickey and you know sometimes participate most of the times read the AI news and stuff. Now, I just don't bother at all. I think I'm getting bored. I don't know if it's the songs =| Hopefully it'll change once (or should I say if) they sing newer songs but I don't know. Gut instinct tells me no. Sighs. Anyway, I listened to the audio in rickey. Did I say I was bored? From David A to C, I was about to fall asleep. Blah!

Hmmm. I'm not bored. But I think we're still waiting for some Big Moments and they're just not happening.

Jason - I'm finding him a boring "one-note" type of singer lately.

David C. - Sorry Sev, ITA with the judges and I think this guy should be the idol.

Brooke - Could you wake me up, she kind of puts me to sleep. Another one-note.

David A - Doesn't appeal to me. I love these two songs too much (nostalgia) and I don't like what he did with them. Maybe if I was 13 I'd feel differently.

Syesha - Impressed me quite a lot. IMO she was a close second to David C.

Brooke should go home, but who knows.

I think all of the contestants have their niche now so they're all sort of "one note" in their own way. Jason and Brooke are the folksy vulnerable types, David A's the message singer, David Cook's the rocker, and Syesha -- hmmm, you know, Syesha is actually proving to be pretty versatile the last few weeks! My point is, though, that we pretty much know what each of them are going to do/going to sound like. I'm okay with that. :)

I agree totally that David Cook should be the Idol.
