Kristy Lee Cook please people vote her off now. I could not believe she played the patriot card yuck. Michael scored again with a Queen song and David Cook did a nice job. Other than that the rest of the show boring.

I think she's going to be safe just because of her very crafty song choice. Oy.

I'm not succeeding in getting "into" AI this year. Is it, IYO, worth the attempt?

This is the best group of men, IMO. I pretty much enjoy all the performances of the men, and look forward to what they're going to do each week. There are no "Sanjaya"'s this time around, so you'd be happy about that. :D

Hm, yeah, that's a good thing. But see, I find the format to be so repetitive and redundant, almost, and I try to watch an episode, get caught up on my research or chatting online, and bam - time's gone, show's over and I don't remember a thing.

Then there's no point for you to watch. Don't turn it on if you're not invested, because then it's just a time sucker. AI is literally the only television show I watch, so it's not so bad for me. :D

Gotta run to work!

She is sly, that one. And here I thought she was just a vacuous blonde.

And hey, no Amanda to scare you this week. I bet you're pleased. ;)

Ramiele - ITA
Jason C - I can take him or leave him...but he's no AI
Syesha - first time I thought she did well and should return
Chikezie - I like this guy's voice and his stage presence (most of the time)
Brooke - getting too sweet and cute...and I don't really like that song
Michael J - I love Freddie Mercury, so I wanted to hate his rendition, but I just couldn't...he was THAT good
Carly - I don't hate her, but she's a night club singer...not an AI
David - He needs to grow up a bit more
Kristy - Please make her and her George Bush song and attitude go away!
David C - ITA!

Yep, we're watching the same show. It seems that the overall quality of the performers/singers isn't very good this year.

I'm pleased that you liked Michael Johns as much as I did! It's a great challenge to take on Queen and I think he did Freddie proud.

I think you hit it on the head for Carly. She doesn't sound like a 'star', and I can't imagine hearing her on the radio, but she'd be okay in a club setting (if I didn't have to look at her!) But I think her voice is gonna be shot soon enough anyway...

I actually think the quality of singers is better than in the past two years. By that I mean, there's nobody really that absolutely can't sing, like Kellie Pickler or Ace Young or (to some) Sanjaya. And I think each of them (well... maybe not Carly) has it in them to be really good. You missed Jason's shining moment with "Hallelujah".

The performance is typical Carly: she squints, frowns, crouches, and looks constipated (though we know that she went to the bathroom before her song, because for some reason she feels the need to share that information with us)
LOL so true!

I just don't get Brooke. In my opinion, she's nothing special.

I disliked David Cook in the beginning but now I really like him. He has a strong voice and he is smart and artistic enough to select original arrangements.
