I agree. I am flabbergasted, annoyed and very, very disappointed.

It's just... I know it wasn't a great performance. But it was better than 50% of the women. There's no way he should have gone home. :(

I know! It wasn't a very good performance, but it was better than 50% of the women. And at least he didn't forget the words. Three times. *sigh*

I can't believe it. Seriously. He was sooo good, Carolyn. I am the first to admit that Tuesday night's performance was mediocre at best, but even his mediocre was better than Hayseed Hoedown Massacre. Geeeez, I wish I could vote!

I know that his performance wasn't good; it was mediocre at best. But come on, Syesha got more votes? Ramiele's snoozefest got more votes? Kristy's Hoedown got more votes? It's crazy.

All I hoped for for him was that he'd make the tour. He didn't even get that.

I hope he lands on his feet.

Yup, because I don't think Brooke counts as a "blonde"! (Seriously!)

While I totally agree with you that David should have stayed over her, I must say that in hearing her sing it again tonight I realized something about her song. She sang it pretty well (better tonight), it was the arrangement that was awful. In particular the instrumental arrangement, more than the vocal arrangement. If she had sung the same thing a capella, I don't think everyone would have hated it nearly as much. The music had several instruments too many playing several times too many notes and it made me feel like a horde was chasing me, and worse, her, making it very difficult to actually even pay attention to her singing. It was like trying to listen to someone read a poem while twenty others bang on trash can lids at the same time.

I understand what you're saying. But she chose the arrangement. There's things that you can't control as a singer (like, say, the sound mixing making the band louder and they drown you out) but she CHOSE the triple speed arrangement.

Also, I am so pissed that David went before her that you could make the most rational argument (read: discussion) known to mankind about how it wasn't that bad and I would respond with "BUT I HATE HER HATE HATE HATE *growly face*"

Lol. I know, and I agree it's totally her fault. My point was just that at first I thought it was her singing I hated, then I realized it was really just the arrangement. Either way, she should have totally been the one to go. I don't hate her, she seems like a perfectly nice kid, I just hate watching her perform, and I hate that they didn't send her home.
