Checking in real quick. It took me an hour and umpteen tries for the computer to start up today -- it would begin to cycle and then shut itself down. Then I got a weird 'certificate' from HP that expired in 2002 (I denied it). I hate computers

Hey, good luck with everything, when my computer went "bang" we had an electrical storm hit our house & TV antena, I was beside myself, no LJ & no FIC for 3 weeks, I drove my husband insane lol, hope it all turns out for the best,,hugs SP
PS Im trying to find your fic "All that Shines silver & Gold" I think thats what it was called, as I want to re-read it all in one go, could you please send it to me, or tell me where to find it, thanks so much,,

system restore

Did you try system restore? I had similar problems with my computer. I went into save mode and used system restore to go back a month and so far so good.
