I always wanted to dress as a Baseball Fury for Hallowe'en...

So since my spring travel plans are cancelled, I decided to treat myself to some, um, treats, namely Oz S2 (since it is my fave season and I couldn't find QaF S4 because, much like the bookstores here, the video and record stores also suck) and The Warriors on DVD. OMG THE WARRIORS ON DVD.

Warriors, come out to plaaaay... )

movie: the warriors

I saw the movie first run in theaters. It was so packed that my friends and I couldn't sit together but had to break up into groups of two. (I think there were 6 of us. For years there was speculation that the mysterious DJ woman was radio personality Wendy Williams, who now works out of NY. I may have to rent this and take a walk down memory lane.

I remember those days, when we actually had to line up for movies outside the theatre and they were always always always packed.

I still really enjoy the movie (obviously, by my gushing post. LOL.) Apparently James Remar has a recurring role on Battlestar Galactica as "Meier". I'm almost tempted to start watching that show just to see him.

To get S4 of QaF you may want to check out overstock.com. They've come through for me regularly with stuff that's been out for a while. The other location is Barnesandnoble.com. I've successfully shopped both these sites for hard to find "stuff".

Yeah, I'll probably go with Amazon.ca -- they're the lowest price I've seen. I'm leery of overstock.com because two people I know have gone on that site and subsequently been infected by viruses. :|

It might just be coincidence, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
