For months, probably years, the "new" lifts at Stratford said "Action is being taken to free you from the lift" which was alarming when I was waiting to board.

(These are now the "old" lifts, but they are only a decade old if that.)

I generally ignore notices on lifts. Glad to hear you do too. Very sensible, if you want to go from A up to B. :-)
