The film with no name

As some horse racing was cancelled today an extra Christmas film was put on TV. I happened on it by chance as I was flicking channels and watched a bit to see if it was any good. I'm a bit of a sucker for a cheery Christmas film and while I don't normally do film reviews here I'm going to make an exception. This one was the most dreadful Christmas ( Read more... )

So says Google, and it does sound unimaginably grim! I have to say, those 'misery followed by goodwill and happiness' films are utterly wank and loathsome. Glad it's not just me that hates them with a passion!

That's the one. Disney have surpassed themselves. :-D

The strange thing was that after all the misery there wasn't even particularly much cheer. They gave a bike to a poor kid, the horrible manager figured he couldn't sack Ginny and...that's about it really. All that trauma and violence so that a woman would believe in whatever she was supposed to believe in.
