Great, taking caps of Trask for my previous post made me then go on a Trask-capping rampage. Especially for my own amusement: Trask/Forbes scenes.

*Sigh* Dark Shadows is old enough with bendy enough canon, coupled with Time Travel and Parallel Times, you'd think it'd be a fannish garden of delight on scale with say Doctor Who. But no. I mean, the ( Read more... )

Only the best bad guys wear eyeliner. *grins*

That clip was incredibly freaky...I just clicked on it out of curiousity, but now I really want to find out more about this series...

Far be it of me to dissuade a person's interest, but I do feel I must warn one of the nature of the Dark Shadows beast (if you haven't already been poking around and finding these things out for yourself).

Firstly? It is a soap opera. That means it ran five days a week for half an hour (with commercials). There are over 1000 episodes. There are episodes that are extremely tedious, where nothing happens, and/or characters just rehash the Plot So Far.

In the end, I'm trying to say is that its format is one that fandom is used to, and may find hard to watch. But then again, I have said the same thing about Sapphire & Steel. But at least S&S doesn't take more than a year to get through...

Ah, thanks for the warning. I'm not bothered by soap operaness, but 1000+ episodes could be quite difficult to beg borrow steal acquire. ^_^;;;

OTOH, I am in the mood for some proper old school (& time-bendy is an added bonus *g*).

What do you mean I don't care? I'll cheerfully ogle Trask. (Is there some kind of Best-Of Dark Shadows I could get my hands on to avoid the scary marathoning your family does?)

Sorry. no "Best Of." Well, technically there is. It's like an 80min video with random clips that out of context are more WTF? than ever.

And we're not that scary of marathoning it. I think you caught us at a time where the plot was interesting enough we wanted to keep watching more. We don't watch it every day, and sometimes we may only managed one ep or two at a time.

And there can be 2 to 4 plots going on at the same time, so to skip episodes could make other aspects confusing. Other than that, don't know what to tell you. Other than I'm sorry you're interested?
