Several weeks ago my grandmother Kate Glinski passed after a long fight for a great life. She pulled through in one of her darkest moments after news of the Green Bay Packers getting to the playoffs, and was determined to see them win. She even held on long enough for me to come home for the Holland House show, and I was lucky enough to say

Okay, so when you get a chance, I have a challenge for you! I'd LOVE to see some of your interpretations of the sculptures from your trip. I wish I could buy some, but with the new baby on the way, that's just not happening soon, lol.
I'm in continual awe of the mural work you've been doing. I bet your grandma was pretty darn proud of you :)

You do follow pretty well... I actually kept it kind of quiet because I didn't want a big pity parade or anything, which Facebook is so uncommonly good for. I didn't want people at work to know about it since I probably would have ended up with a card and a lot of people asking me why I didn't go home... But thank you for you kind words. She will be missed.
