Early Moring Rain (open to anyone awake!)

Aug 29, 2009 14:31

it was an absolutely miserable day. Remus had heard the rain pouring before he was even fully awake. 8:30 was way too early to be awake on a Saturday, but Remus had the unfortunate affliction of not being able to get back to sleep upon waking. Once his brain turned on he couldn't switch it back off. After fifteen minutes of trying to get back to ( Read more... )

She was beginning to think that being related to two Ravenclaws was having a detrimental affect on her. Sure, she had always been an early riser, but this was just ridiculous. She had at least an hour or two before the others even contemplating stirring.

At least she'd get her potions essay done. Right?

Sitting at the breakfast table in the great hall, Rhi reached for the muffin in front of her, breaking off a piece as she flipped through the pages, looking for the properties of crushes Wormwood.

Remus was surprised to see a student in the Great Hall this early. He went over to the Gryffindor table and took a seat across from her. "Well, I'm glad to see I'm not the only nutter who is up this early."

"No." She shook her head, looking up from her work. "I'm usually up early. Though never quite this early. I think having spent the summer with the overacheivers in my family is rubbing off on me."

"I'm usually up early as well, but I can generally sleep a little on the weekend. The rain woke me." He looked up at the enchanted ceiling, which was full of dark clouds and flashed with lightening every now and then.

"Remus!" Picking up her pace a bit, Triamon went to catch up with the older boy as she made her way down to the Great Hall. She had no idea what she was doing up this early -- on a Saturday to boot -- but now that she was, she might as well get breakfast.

And just as luck would have it, she wouldn't have to have it alone. Maybe she could ask him about Sirius, what Kelly said bothering her a bit.

Remus turned at the sound of his name, smiling at her. "Good morning," he said cheerfully.

"Yeah," he said. "I figured since I'm up anyway, I might as well eat."

Aune had yet to go to sleep, and the house elves had replaced her reading candle three times since dinner ended the night before. However, this was important, the facts and figures and even a hand-drawn spread sheet spread before her, along with the remains of a half-eaten danish.

Hearing someone else enter she looked up, the corner of her face dotted with ink from tapping her cheek in thought.

For the life of her, Aune couldn't remember if the Gryffandor was a sympathizer or not, and if he was, she debated how quickly she could hide the parchments if he decided to come over.

So, she did all she could do, and she waved.

Dorcas was in an abnormally good mood for it being so early; and spotting Remus, she bounded over with a grin. "Morning, Lupin!"
