Having convinced Emmeline to come with him for the night, just to get away from Hogwarts for a bit, thinking that perhaps some time away would be good for her, Fabian dug some Floo powder out of a pocket (after all, one of the first things their teachers stressed in training was always have an easy way out of a situation

Only a few moments later, Emmeline stepped out, sneezing several times. It always seemed to do that, and well...

Looking around she smiled a bit, watching him hide the last of whatever mess was there, "You... weren't kidding. It is small."

More of a large room than an actual flat, the living and dining areas were crammed together next to a tiny kitchen. An open door indicated that the bedroom was barely large enough for a bed and a dresser. A tiny bathroom was through the door next to the bedroom. Scattered around were books and bits of parchment, as well as personal touches, including a couple of drawings that looked like they were drawn by his nephews.

"Well, I'm just one person, and I'm on a limited budget. It suits for what I need."

There was also no small children, no broken mothers trying to keep a facade up, no piles of 'missing' posters stacked in a corner.

His flat didn't have any heavy air of dread and silence and acceptance, and to Em? It was perfect.

She pulled her outer-robe off, and set it to the side, on one of the chairs. "It's... great Fabian, really, it is."

"I'm sure you don't really need a tour or anything, given that you can see it all from here. Um." He looked around. "Would you like something to eat? Or drink?"
