I may have gone back and scanned the entire of chapter two after reading the first few words in an attempt to figure out when on earth Puck and Kurt had slept together. That'll teach me to a)just keep reading and b)maybe not read complicated fanfics while under the influence.

Anyway, this was lovely! I loved how Puck and Kurt just get along with each other (then of course Gill putting her foot it. I very nearly actually facepalmed). I also love the way you're portraying Kurt's increasing frustration with Aurelien, and I can't help but think "Why on earth did you ask to marry him in the first place?!"

Simply cannot wait for the next part! Love it!

Hahaha, in all honesty, that's exactly the kind of reaction I was hoping for =D Since there was such a gap in time between the two chapters, I had to start off kind of violently, to shake and confuse the reader a bit, so I'm really glad to see I succeeded! ^^

Simply cannot wait for the next part! Love it!

Thanks, darling! Although I have to warn you, next part will be up around the 10th of March, not before, unfortunately.

I am content with that: this fic is more than worth the wait! Also, your icon is looking supermegafoxyawesomehot and like he wants to have sex with whoever is looking at the picture. ie - much love for your icon!

Thanks darling! And yeah, I adoooore this icon, it's so foxy! I found it recently (on the puckurt comm I think) and I use it as often as I can. I call it "Fatale Kurt" -- because THAT LOOK could be the death of you XD

YAYYAY!!! *Big breath* I actually went back to the beginning so I could read it all in a nice long string, and I'm just SO HUNGRY right now. Lamb shoulder, squash tempura, you are killing me. I'm loving the story so much, even though I often pause to make random noises like 'Mmmmm.... lamb.....' I've been anticipating this part all week since you sent out your last message. Aurélien's really a bit of a jerk and I wonder what Kurt saw in him in the first place or if Kurt just has such a wall up around who he really is that he and Aurélien are more like copies of themselves acting out what they think is the perfect relationship. Who knows? Obviously Puck is about to cause some major trouble and I'm looking forward to it. Aside from all the food detail you give which is just so amazing (and hunger inducing) I love your little team of cooks. And when Gill refused a beer I even wondered if she was pregnant. They are all great character's especially the patisserie chef who speaks just like my Belgian friend JP. I'm looking forward to the ( ... )

YAAAAAYYY!!! =D NGL, this is my real goal with this fic! ^^

And when Gill refused a beer I even wondered if she was pregnant.

Dude. You're really, really good at this *____* I don't think I ever had a reader as sharp as you before! You amaze me, seriously.

I need to come right out and say it, though, next parts (I'll post both of them in a row) will be up around the 10th of March, but not before, unfortunately.

Well I'm always starving for good food when I finish reading, so you're definitely achieving that goal! Plus I'm Aussie so I love lamb. I didn't even know how much I loved it until I lived in Japan for 2 years, the land of no lamb.

A good writer drops clues that foreshadow critical plot points, I'm only doing my half of the job :3

I'm looking forward to Mid-March! I started back at uni this week, so it will give me something really pleasurable to look forward again.

I never knew they didn't have lamb in Japan! I'm sure Japanese cuisine can compensate for that, but I feel your pain, I looooove lamb too! Such a delicate and flavourful meat!

Good luck for uni, and yes, see you mid-march, dear! ^^

I am absolutely fascinated by how this story is coming together! (Though I have long since come to the decision that my New England-via-Texas palette is hopelessly uncultured.) And I adore the amuse-bouche additions - I always love when an author shows their work.

That said? I went to click on the mix, and Youtube said I do not own the playlist. Are the sharing settings correct?

Thank you so much, and it's also good to know you've enjoyed the amuse-bouches as well, I take a lot of time preparing those too! ^^

Re: the mix -- I think it was a URL problem; now it should work. Please let me know if it still doesn't!

The end of this chapter makes me upset to think that it wasn't really Kurt's desire to give up his career. And then given how things have happened with this picnic and how out of place it seems Kurt is with Aurelien's friends just makes me wish even more that Kurt wasn't engaged to the guy. He is much better off with out Riddick impersonator haha.

I enjoyed the revelation that Puck was bullied verbally by his French classmates about his American roots. It makes sense that it will happen and I also think it adds to who Puck has become by having him be in the position to fight his way towards what he wants. I also really enjoy the underlying chemistry between Puck and Kurt, because while it's there it's still surprisingly not overwhelming and all we focus on (though it's not a bad thing to focus on, it just allows us to be able to focus on the food and other aspects of the fic.)

Can't wait for the next part!

Thank you for this comment dear, it's always great to have your insight on the story!

I also really enjoy the underlying chemistry between Puck and Kurt,

I must say, I left this fic aside for a long time, but when I got around to writing it again, it was SO EASY to make Puck and Kurt's conversations work. They just click, and it takes almost no effort on my part.
I don't understand the writers of Glee, the chemistry between those two characters is just THERE, and it's left completely unexploited. Why would they obstinately refuse such delicious potential? I mean, they don't even work the friendship angle! Augh! It leaves me SO frustrated!

I hear you girl! The chemistry is indeed there and I just don't understand why they don't at least work a friendship angle like you said. They will be an unstoppable team if they did! Kurt's brains with Puck's brawn lol it's a match made for each other!
