Ummm we pretty much have the same taste in things. I'll recommend Chuck Klosterman for an author; sex, drugs and cocoa puffs is awesome. :)

I second Supernatural! And also add: Fringe. I don't know if you'd like it much, but it's kind of like a more sci-fi version of Bones. Kind of like, the X Files, I guess? Also add The Office to that.

Movies. I don't know if you've seen it yet, but Juno is amazing. Same with Stranger than Fiction, Little Manhattan, and The Island.
