'"No. The world doesn't revolve around Francesca being felt up by Will Tromble against a wall outside a toilet."'
&&&&&
'I offered him a cigarette and said, "Let's talk women, Will. How does one sustain two at the same time?"'
I CAN TOTALLY SEE KEVIN ZEGGERS BEING ADORABLE AND HOT SAYING THESE LINES EXACTLY THE WAY I PICTURED JIMMY SAYING THEM!

Jess that last quote about everyone ALWAYS MAKES ME TEAR UP SO MUCH!
This is perfect and *sigh* I would totally see a movie of this! Or any of her other books.

PS I always thought Thomas reminded me of Jacob Coote yes?

LMAO. Exactly why I decided he was perfect. Seriously. The dimples. They'd come out and everyone would swoon.
Well, Thomas reminds me of Book!Jacob, but not Movie!Jacob. Movie Jacob has a more... grunge feel to him, than just lazy slob. But book!Jacob and Thomas are very similar indeed.

Oh my dear lord this post is perfect. I'll admit I didn't know who Gabriel Sunday is (have since IMDB'd him) but yes. And Kevin Zegers! Oh, this needs to be made, srsly.

And I need to read this book again. Francesca and Will always make me melt a little bit.

Oh thank you! I too, had no idea who he was, until I found him. Because Will Tromble needed to be perfect. And now that I've seen Gabriel Sunday, I think that he will be the only person in this world capable of being Will.

They make me melt a lot more than a little bit. Melina Marchetta is always so real when describing relationships.

OMG, Will Trombal is perfect. Like literally. I love that you didn't just pick some random hot guy. Because how do you even describe his face? I had a hard time picturing it in the novel. But I just looked at him, and went 'yes'.

Same for Francesca. PERFECT.

I don't know how they'd adapt this movie, though. She keeps so much of herself inside her head for much of the book, so there'd have to be a vo (less annoying than Pia Miranda in LfA) or something. Because otherwise she might just come off as bitchy/stupid spice (FUNNIEST SCENE EVER).

If they ever did though, they better keep in Thomas/Tara.

In a word: life. This book just, gets to you. Get's under your skinIAWTCSFM ( ... )

Will had to be perfect. I went through about five guys before I found him. Coz I knew if I was going to cast this book, I wouldn't be satisfied until I found the perfect person for each role. So I'm incredibly glad all the fans on my f-list have approved of the choices!

Yeah, most of my favourite young adult books I'd like to see adapted seem to have the voice over things. But, I think there might be enough exchanges for them to get away with it. Only... we'll probably never see it happen, which saddens me greatly.

If they ever did though, they better keep in Thomas/Tara.
-SQUEE- Hell yes. I love it. Adorable. And Jimmy knowing. Oh god, this book is magic.

How many people haven't read this in the book club? Because I'd totally read it again.Oh, don't you worry. As soon as we're certain enough people have access to it, we're totally setting it on the reading list. Basically because I think it needs to be read. So they can see everything that we see in it... which, by the way ( ... )

This post :D I'm so glad I friended you, if only for this post. I adore this book more than anything, and this cast is perfect, the girl you picked for Justine is basically how I see her.

Every single time I read Saving Francesca I fall a little in love with her friends. I want to be there, to be a part of this group that becomes so strong. - This bit especially, it sums up why I love the book.

I can't wait for the sequel <3 (Want some spoilers? Nothing major, but interesting stuff!)
