I think I've always like cute things as long as they weren't excessively girly and I also like cool things (tech nerd~) but I feel like I'm not one of those people that can actively find or make cute things, but I have friends that can so I'm always amazed at this ability XD I tend to be super!serious except for my flights of eccentricity so I've met with a few weird-surprised reactions to my liking of cute things by my friends hahaha
haha well thanks~ I try to keep my journals on the neutral side because most of my super!seriousness is related to problems I can't solve easily, otherwise my journal would be one big meta post about life hahaha XD but in person I tend toward seriousness, although I'm getting better at being happier and learning to let go of stuff since a couple years ago. :3

Hmm, you know what, I think you must have a point there. Because I was pretty much the same until a few years ago, all serious and only liking "dark" things. Not that I'm into ultra-cute stuff even now. Oh, except for certain BL stories, I guess ^^'
Kanji's bi, and the Persona fandom has taken off on that fact. If you're interested, I'm sure you'd be able to find all sorts of BL featuring him and his expressions!

I think that Miku is what got me into cuteness. (So that would be back in my senior year of high school.) Before that, I was all about cool and dark things and then it's like Miku awakened something in me.
I still love dark stuff, but I have a strong appreciation for cuteness now. :'3 And I've been a super Miku fan ever since.
Looks like we all had a conversion to the cute as we left high school.
I've had a mixed bag with the kawaisa in Vocaloid. The characters and costuming for the songs are real sweet, but they're often discordant with the theme. It's like Megaman all over again. Or maybe I should listen to songs other than stuff like Meltdown.
