I've always liked Abby, but this episode made me not like her. A lot.

Then it wasn't just me. *makes face* I don't know, but it just felt... really off. And it wasn't just Abby, to be honest. A few of the others didn't seem quite right either.

I don't watch on a regular basis and I've certainly missed many eps, but this particular ep I've read several 'recaps' and have formed the opinion that maybe the writers are either setting her up for something or someone's been smoking something.

This was only the second episode after the strike ended, so I'm hoping that it just took a few episodes for everyone - writers and actors alike - to get back into the stride of things.

I have been ranting about how much I disliked this episode from the moment it ended. Abby was completely OOC. She was just plain awful to McGee.

nakeisha agreed with me when we were dicussing it over on the NCIS LJ and wrote Facts Of LIfe for me. This tag story totally fixed the episode for me.

Nodding along with the Abby issues. I tuned into a couple of episode reviews right after it aired and there was a general agreement on the topic. I've been watching the show on DVD and have caught some of the commentaries. Apparently Pauly is a fanatic dog rescuer and Bellisarus has been known to weave the actor's lives into show stories.

I can almost go with Abby's behavior in the beginning, but the end when she's forcing him to take the dog is too much. I would have thought her first instinct would have been to move.

*nods*

I was half-expecting Abby to tell McGee that her landlord has said "no" ... so he was going to have to help her move into a new place. That would have made more sense, and been more IC, in my opinion.

I can fully see her moving to accomodate the dog.

...on another note.

I think that I've just committed fic. It's a PG-13 Gibbs/DiNozzo that's more a Tony character study. If I'm going to get real technical about the timeline it takes place in early S5 because it needs to take place the week before Thanksgiving.

Would you have any time and/or interest in beta-ing?

I'm trying to finish getting packed tonight, but I'll be glad to take a look at it once I get home tomorrow. :)
