Now that I'm wide awake and have had some time to really think about the movie, I guess that it's as good a time as any to start talking about what I liked/disliked. Before I get into any of that, though, I want to add a disclaimer ( Read more... )

In conclusion, when it comes to the movieverse, Peter/MJ/Harry = OT3. I'm just saying.

*snickers* Throughout the final scenes, my thought processes pretty much went, "...my god. Threesome!"

And, umm. That's all I have for now, because I just came back from seeing the movie and haven't fully processed it yet. Except, you know. The whole OT3 thing. ;)

"...my god. Threesome!"

*lol*

That's pretty much been my thought throughout the entire trilogy.

Such a threesome!

And I can't believe people didn't like the amnesia!

Personally, I wish they had cut Sandman (or at least the revenge part of the story) and fleshed out Eddie and Gwen and the Venom story more, as well as doing more with Amnesia-Harry.

It's funny that the movie wasn't ACTUALLY that long (about 2 hrs, 15 minutes, after previews) but it did feel longish, because of the pacing. Though, frankly, I don't mind that; I think it works by giving the characters room to breathe, and helps with what I think Raimi does best, which is setting the story in a believable world. The pacing actually felt like I was reading a comic-TPB; while I like a tightly-paced movie, I don't think they always have to be.

Personally, I loved the amnesia part. It was so cute seeing Harry go back to being innocent, like he was before everything happened.

I definitely agree about Sandman. The Venom storyline really should have been fleshed out more than it was, and it would have made more sense if they'd taken out at least a chunk of the other storyline.
