High School Memory

One of my friends from high school made a comment on my Facebook, and I thought that I'd pass along the humor. ;-)

Last year in class, my AP English class was doing poem interpretations. Donna, one of my friends and fellow academic team members, was working with the following poem:

That's why I loved the X English class (which was Honors English where I went) when I was in high school. You had fun like this. That's hilarious.

AP English is one of the few things that I actually miss about high school. We always had so much fun.

I took an Anglo-Welsh Literature cours ein Wales and we were looking at a poem about a still, silent cottage. THe professor asked what the poem was about, and one of the classmates - an English major - said she thought it was about death. He kind of got a funny look on his face and said that he thought it was about a cottage. XD

This is so funny! I made penknife read it and the Very Small Person sat there looking at us like we were crazy because she couldn't figure out what was so funny.

I need to dig up some more stories from AP English. We had a ton of things like this happen throughout the year.

In my first semester college Geology class, we talked about orogeny. An orogeny is a mountain-building event.

Of course, one of the guys had to make a comment about erogeny...which turned into a semester-long run-on gag.

The fun doesn't end with high school. :)
