Dreamwidth vs. LiveJournal

I've been using Dreamwidth as my primary journal for years. Yes, I've crossposted to LJ, but DW has been my preferred site and I've followed as many people on it as I could. Especially since half the time I can't even get LiveJournal to load comments properly so that I can reply to people

i just don't check DW. if most people switch i may start, but i don't think my larpers care much about switching :)

That's part of why I'm not completely deleting my LJ, at least not yet. Considering some of the recent news, though, I'm not sure that might not change in the future.

I guess I'll update my backup on DreamWidth but basically I forget that thing exists. If I can't get someone on LiveJournal, then I try to get them on Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter or InstaGram.

For me, Dreamwidth and LiveJournal (or, lately, Twitter) are the only ones that I really check. I use Instagram and Tumblr more for posting/reblogging, and the only reason I haven't deleted Facebook is because it's not worth the family drama - even though I rarely even look at it.

I mirror my journal on lj and dreamwidth, same username, so you can feel free to follow me on either. More people comment/post on lj for me, so that's my primary reading site, but I'll post my comments on whichever site you prefer.

If you don't mind, then, I'm going to switch over to DW. Half the time lately, I can't even reply to comments on LJ because they won't load unless I try three different browsers first.
