I have a feeling that, once I finish all of my fic exchange stories, I'm going to be burying myself in this fandom for awhile.

Even though I knew (and hope/prayed the entire time it was happening) that it was a con, I may have teared up when Eliot blindly grabbed Hardison's hand and said, "Age of the geek, brother."

Such a great way to end the series. I want movies! Even if they're made-for-TV reunion movies. Leverage International. Yes. ;D

Totally agree with you re: Leverage--best possible way it could have ended. And Sterling was back, yay!

"We don't believe in all that PC nonsense.

'Actually, the kids are calling it "not being an asshole" these days,' although that would probably cause more trouble than it's worth. You're pretty much stuck with family, so battles have to be picked.

Yeah. :-/

I tried arguing the point a little, but they just couldn't understand why it was a problem. I mean, literally, it made no sense to them that I was upset.

I agree with you on Merlin. I've had just enough of season 5 spoiled for me that I'm not sure I even want to see the rest of the spoilers ( ... )

Oh, and I'm sorry for your parents being so offensive. I've had arguments like that with people, and it really does seem to be this utter empathy gap of where they can't get why someone would be upset to hear people being called insulting/demeaning names if it wasn't directly aimed at them.

*nudges a pot of tea, brownies, and extra-strength aspirin in your direction* Soon it will be over. Just remember, food is lousy in prison and they don't let you re-watch The Hobbit for the twentieth time.

*nods*

They just... have no idea why what they said was offensive. It literally makes no sense to them, and they think that I'm crazy for being so upset.

See, personally? I pretty much pretend that nothing after S1 happened (with a handful of exceptions for the few plot points that I liked). Which... probably explains why I haven't been that much of a fan of the show in quite some time.
