Really, LiveJournal? Really?

For the record, if LiveJournal actually ends up implementing these changes to the friends page, it might be enough to convince me to fully switch to Dreamwidth ( Read more... )

Ugh yeah, reading my Flist with my layout is the main reason I'm still using LJ. I am so sick of these forced changes that make no sense.

If I wanted Facebook, Tumblr, or Twitter, then I would log onto my accounts on those sites. That's not why I'm on LiveJournal. :-/

LJ really needs to stop trying to copycat everyone else and be their own thing. No way will I be able to easily read my flist with infinite scroll. Every single change they've made lately makes things so difficult to load.

This really might be enough to drive me away for good, if they don't listen to users and go ahead with it as planned. :-/

I just love how the only place you can make your opinion known is all in Russian.

Yeah, this may do it for me, too. I don't use Tumblr or Facebook; the infinite scroll thing is crap. And I like reading my FL in my own style.

Well, the website is pretty much solely based in Russia now. There was an article last week about almost all of the handful of America staff members quitting.

Which is annoying in its own way. :-/

Oh, bollocks.

My computer starts getting cranky with Tumblr's infinite scroll, but that may be the case because it's so gif heavy. I can hope, anyway.

LJ, you are not Facebook! We've been through this already.

I made a DW account back when it was first in beta with an invite code and I always intended to make a mirror of this account over there but never did. The big deletion sweep petered out and I left fandom for awhile. I'm considering it again now though. Sadly, I don't think it would be a mass migration. But it would at least give me a central base I feel more comfortable with than tumblr and more interactive than Ao3.

I don't want to switch entirely to Dreamwidth, because I have a handful of friends here on LiveJournal who haven't gone to that site and never will for personal reasons. LJ is making the site more and more unusable for me, though. :-/

I don't want to either, but I'm thinking of making my entries there when possible and cross-posting over here. I love my flist too much to leave though. It's small, but there's no wank and I've found some communities I like. I've started to get the hang of tumblr now though and there are mirror journals and communities on dreamwidth for some of the stuff over here. The times they are a' changin' I guess.
