So, yes, I finally managed to see The Hunger Games. Go me! \o/
Anyway, I had high expectations, and I've gotta admit that they were definitely met. I've learned over the years not to trust most movie adaptations of books that I like, so I was pleasantly surprised.

I really would have liked to see a bit more about her relationship with her father (and what happened to her family in the aftermath of his death). Part of the reason Katniss was so close to Prim was because they weren't just sisters; she had practically raised her.
Also, I really wish they could have focused just a bit more on the hunger part of the Hunger Games. I mean, that was the whole point of her plan with Rue to destroy the Career's supplies; without them, they would starve. And in the book, Katniss and Peeta were in such bad shape by the end, so much worse than they were in the movie.
