Thank you so much for that first link. I had no idea Sesame Street was that ... epic and amazing, or that Big Bird was such a badass! XD (I used to love Sesame St. when I was growing up. Oscar was my favourite, but Big Bird was a close second, so it's awesome to hear he once faced up to Osiris and won!) Put a massive smile on my face - thank you! :D

I remember seeing that special as a rerun back when I was a kid, but I'd forgotten all about it until I read that post.

I remember that episode of Sesame Street, or at least I remember the lost Egyptian prince and the museum part of it. I can't have seen it with my siblings, though, because they were too old by then - at a friend's, maybe, with their kids? But, um. Yeah. Big Bird will stand with you in the Hall of the Dead. It's a useful lesson.

That Sesame Street special is actually one of the only TV things I have remembered all my life from when I was a little kid. The parents ditched the TV when I was 5, so I remembered a) a tiny bit of original series Star Trek, b) that Doctor Who involved a guy with a really long scarf, and c) a dead Egyptian boy in a museum.
