Delicious vs. Pinboard

I've officially moved all of my bookmarks over to Pinboard. I won't be completely satisfied with the site until tag bundles are implemented, but at least I know that they're coming in the near(ish) future ( Read more... )

The thing is? I said something about Pinboard on twitter - that I like to try before I buy, and they got reallllly snarky with me. They lost me as a prospective customer *right there*. And I bitched about something w/ new Delicious, and THEY FIXED IT in one day.

So Delicious kept me, and pinboard lost me.

Oh, I get that. *nods* I definitely have some issues with Pinboard, but - at the moment - it feels like the lesser of two evils for me.

I've been holding out for Delicious, giving them feedback, waiting for them fix things... except it's been over a month, the site is still completely unusable for me (really, it's difficult to even search my own tags at this point - for me, that's the whole point of the website), and the major issues that I have with the site (tag bundles still not working properly if you have a lot of tags, no bulk renaming of tags, etc.) are the ones that they've started completely ignoring on the forums.

They ignore me when I'm asking polite, legitimate questions about site features that, honestly, are what will make or break the site for me, and they only acknowledge me when I mention in a public forum that I'm seriously thinking about giving up on them? That's too little, too late for me.

At this point I'm holding out that one of the fannish projects will take off, although I've kind of lost track of who's doing what where.

*nods*

Right now, Pinboard seems to be the lesser of two evils, to me at least. I'd love to see a fandom-specific one take off, though.
