Pft, like THAT will last. Silly kids making spur of the moment decisions just to be 'hip'... sad. ~shakes head~ ;-D

(I wanted to say something besides "awww, bless 'em!", which is the obvious response to that news :D)

So, you know how Disney owns Marvel? And Disney also owns ABC? They're taking advantage of that by bringing multiple Marvel series to the small screen.

With as big an (tv show) Alias fan as I was, I admit that the Mockingbird show caught my attention, even though I know very little about her in the comic books. Though I have to say, if that does go through, it seems a shame that in all likelihood, Clint won't show up since he's in the movies, unless Marvel is different when it comes to handling things like that than DC is.

Personally, I'm seriously looking forward to the Jessica Jones series. I love the Alias comic, and the idea of seeing her (and Luke! and Carol!) on TV is brilliant.

I'm thrilled about the idea of possibly seeing Carol Danvers on my tv, even in a supporting role, but I'm pretty...nervous, about the way they seem to be going about Cloak and Dagger.

*nods*

I have to admit, I'm kind of in a "wait and see" mode when it comes to Cloak and Dagger. I'm not quite sure I trust them to handle that particular scenario as carefully as it will need to be handled.

IDK. Maybe it's because I mainly know them through their cameos in Runaways, but my understanding of Cloak and Dagger is that they're nnnot exactly characters you can base a younger audience oriented, ABC Family type show on, you know? And I don't even know how I feel about the whole New Orleans thing - both as a drastic setting change, and it's kind of hard not to find it a little, uh, gimmicky, given the events of still fairly recent past.

I might still give it a shot if it looks interesting if/once we're to the point where they actually have promos and such. I'm a big sucker for superheroes.

I don't really know that much about them, to be honest.

Claok and Dagger..... so not for kids. so so so so so freaking not for kids. And I can't think of how it can be for kids and not neutered. Same kinda for Alias!

It's so weird, it just seems they've got so many more properties that would work for TV.... Heroes for Hire, New Mutants, Dr Strange, .... ok i want Invaders but I won't kid myself that that would be profitable, but damn it I want Invaders.

Umm anyway, point is, I'm baffled by their TV choices.

And YES!!! Go tto the Captain America kink memes! I've answered two on that one, and left some prompts :)
I've also left some prompts on the other one, but not answered any yet, though I'm eyeing a few.

And yes we have two LJ kink memes and the one on DW because the fandom is annoying and wanky >.> But I'm looking at it now as a way to have more porn.

And I need movie Bucky/Steve fluff and angst like whoa.
And I want to write in Jim... because he's canon. =P
And I'm totally thinking now that Howard Stark funded him.

From what I understand, AKA Jessica Jones at least will be aimed at adults. But, yeah. :-/

OH THANK GOD!!!!
Granted given what goes on in Gossip Girls and the age group that was aimed at.... maybe I should retract Cloak and dagger being too "adult"

I should say, there's not enough sex involving the main characters so I think studios may be confused as to what to do without changing it drastically.

AKA Jessica Jones, if it includes Luke Cage, will make my life.

It's supposed to have both Carol and Luke. :)

That Harry Potter fanart is absolutely stunning, even if the fact that anime has two age settings -- 25 and 80 and nothing in between -- never fails to make me chuckle. Oh, bishounen!Snape.

I was a little wary of the Marvel television announcements at first, but skimming that article has assuaged some of my concerns some. I like the fact they're not pushing hard on the superhero elements; mixed-genre takes on the characters sound a lot more fun.

Oh god, that kink meme... I want to be enthusiastic, but the graphics make my eyes hurt I'm such a terrible person.

I'm still a little worried about the potential Marvel television shows, but I have to admit that the article definitely made a lot of my worries disappear. It definitely helps that they seem to be focusing on characters who, while they have powers, don't really think of themselves as superheroes.
