This post could also be titled: No, really, don't ask why I'm awake at 5:00am. *headdesk* I fell asleep for, like, twenty minutes. Then I woke up. And was wide awake. This was around, oh, 3:00am. Have I mentioned lately that insomnia sucks? Because it really, really, really does.

Anyway, yes. I finally (finally, finally) watched X-Men: First Class

There was a comment that he wasn't dead, per se, but it would take him a loooooooooong time to come back from what happened. I don't know Darwin, so...

I think that would at least make sense for hand-waving purposes. *nods* Even in the comics, his powers are a little unpredictable... he doesn't even know what they're going to do sometimes.

My comment about Darwin basically boiled down to "so he can become a death god to get out of a unwinnable bind ... but can't swallow a piddly nuclear reaction? Come on, guys, really. ಠ_ಠ"

Yeah. I just kind of stared at the screen and went "... really? Really?" Because... yeah. Picking the one character who can't die as the only one who dies just doesn't make sense. At all.

I'm of the opinion that he will return someday. Perhaps in some sort of a lovely "SURPRISE!" moment. *nods hopefully*

I'm hoping that fanfiction writers will take that idea and run with it. *nods* Even if the movies themselves don't.

I fully expect him to return as Dr. Manhattan in the next movie. AND I WILL BE PISSED IF HE DOESN'T.
