I've found a lot of people already, but if anyone has a Google+ account that I've missed mine is here.

If you haven't seen it yet, you might want to read The City Boy, the Peasant Women, and the Dragon in the Tower - A Fable. (Basically, it's an amusing summary of the whole Keith Mander, Lord of the Rings, fanfiction archive for profit mess. If ( Read more... )

That's very cool news. Makes sense now about Adrian Paul's tweet about Dr. Peter Wingfield now.

I'd preordered the book and it's on my Kindle right now and I'm trying to remind myself that it's time to go to sleep and not start reading. But...eeeee! New book! More princesses being awesome!

I'm probably going to pick up a hard copy of the book over at the B&N by the restaurant, but it's seriously tempting to get it on my Kindle and start reading. I just have to keep reminding myself that I'll enjoy it even more if I actually finish refreshing my memory on the previous three first.

I don't have time to reread, so I'm just going to have to hope my memory is good enough :D

Peter Wingfield (Methos from Highlander) has announced that he's leaving acting to return to medical school (which he quit in order to pursue a career in acting). It's kind of awesome. ♥

Is anyone else getting the urge to go to the doctor?

Since you mention the princess stories, I thought this might appeal to you, if you enjoy PC games with good story behind them: the Dark Parables. I've recently come into awareness about this series and I'm mildly obsessed with it. I've only finished the second game (I just downloaded the first yesterday, I had played the free trial) and it's really amazing. They're based on classic fairy tales but given dark twists (not that the originals weren't dark), and you play a detective who has to solve the mysteries to release the tormented spirits of beloved fairy tale characters. The first one is based on Sleeping Beauty, the second on the Frog Prince, and the third (which isn't out yet) apparently features an evil Snow White.

I linked you to the page I made for the series at TV Tropes, which has links to where you can get the first two games. You can download free trials that will let you play them for an hour (or until you complete the first two chapters, whichever comes first). I've finished a walkthrough for Exiled Prince and am planning to do one for Briar Rose, since neither game has one on GameFAQs.

It's been popping up all over the place. Apparently the announcement was originally made on some official site, and it's spread from there.
