Remix Madness

Remix is taking a page out of Yuletide's book this year and running a "madness" challenge. Anyone can participate, whether or not they signed up for Remix proper.

I'm confused (nothing new) It seems like it's saying you have to write a story to participate and that you don't. It's been a long day :)

Yeah, it's definitely a bit oddly worded. As I understand it, by commenting in that post you're saying that A. you give other people permission to remix your fics and B. you're at least thinking about remixing someone else's fic yourself. If you don't actually go through with finishing and posting a fic, it's no harm, no foul.

What's a 'safe story' exactly?

A "safe story" is a story that you don't want people to remix. You're basically saying that it's off-limits.

That's what it sounded like, but I wanted to be sure. Not that I'm all that sure about signing up, I never actually have any writing time.
