sisabet brought this up in the #vidding IRC chat last night (that song is still stuck in my head, by the way, thank you so much :-P), and it got me to thinking.

Bwahahaha, that was the first one I saw too and I didn't even know there WERE other ones for the longest time. I was disappointed when I finally saw Road Warrior/etc., the first time, though on subsequent rewatches as an adult, I really do appreciate them all more now.

Though Thunderdome is still my favorite, what can I say. I was a kid when I saw it!

There were a bunch of references to Beyond Thunderdome on Rules of Engagement a week or so ago. Made me very nostalgic! I think I saw the second one first, then the first, then Thunderdome.

Someone wrote a filk - I have it in a zine somewhere, I think - called "I Don't Need Another Fandom," about attempting to resist pimpage. It was one of those things that's almost too true to be funny!
