House, M.D.

Apr 08, 2009 01:18

I've been slowly but surely playing catch-up the past few days, but when I saw the huge number of reaction posts for last night's episode I decided to finish up with a marathon. I just finished watching the newest episode, and... well, I understand why so many people on my friends list who usually don't mention House have commented on this episode ( Read more... )

The scenes where Taub and Kutner were discussing whether or not a sane person would ever commit suicide jumps to the head of the list

Was that from the ep Martin Henderson was in (playing the guy with chronic pain who tried to kill himself)? Because Taub in that ep made me SO furious that, when I read the spoiler about this week's ep, I really hoped it would be him.

Count me in the upset camp, but not because it was a suicide. It's because they took the suicide and still managed to make it all about what House needed and wanted. And Wilson pointing that out just didn't make it OK for me.

To me, it was treated by the writers with the sensitivity of a lead brick. It just set me on edge, and not in that good way that powerful writing can do. That said, I figure there must have been a pretty hasty departure involved because it sure seemed poorly planned/thought out. Seeing the stories about Kal Penn's decision only cements that thought in my brain.

I see what you mean, and I definitely understand why people wouldn't be okay with that aspect of the episode. I'll admit that part didn't bother me (well, not too much at least), though, because... well, that's honestly what I expect from this show. Yes, the other characters are important, but when it's all said and done the series is House, not Foreman, or Wilson, or Taub, or even Kutner. No matter what happens, it always comes back to House - even if it shouldn't.

And I'm not sure that makes any sense whatsoever. :-/

Yeah it didn't. Lol. Joking. I can see why someone would be upset.

But, House wouldn't be House if he didn't ignore his feelings and look for the mysterious.

(Secret: Because of Wilson's reactions during the entire ep, I ship Kutner/Wilson. My brain is messed up.)

When I saw the thing about the memorial page for Kutner, my jaw dropped. I said "OMG, I find that disturbing." Avi said, "Uh-huh." And I said, "No, you don't understand. I'm in FANDOM and I find that disturbing."

I don't think he quite gets what I mean, but I'm sure you do. ::shakes head::

It's just... why on earth would anyone think that might be even remotely a good idea? :-/

I LOLed man. Seriously. It's for all the freakish fan girls who we all want to stay away from.

But I did enjoy reading the little memos left. Especially Wilsons. Once I deciphered his fucking handwriting.
