Was that from the ep Martin Henderson was in (playing the guy with chronic pain who tried to kill himself)? Because Taub in that ep made me SO furious that, when I read the spoiler about this week's ep, I really hoped it would be him.

To me, it was treated by the writers with the sensitivity of a lead brick. It just set me on edge, and not in that good way that powerful writing can do. That said, I figure there must have been a pretty hasty departure involved because it sure seemed poorly planned/thought out. Seeing the stories about Kal Penn's decision only cements that thought in my brain.

I see what you mean, and I definitely understand why people wouldn't be okay with that aspect of the episode. I'll admit that part didn't bother me (well, not too much at least), though, because... well, that's honestly what I expect from this show. Yes, the other characters are important, but when it's all said and done the series is House, not Foreman, or Wilson, or Taub, or even Kutner. No matter what happens, it always comes back to House - even if it shouldn't.
And I'm not sure that makes any sense whatsoever. :-/

(Secret: Because of Wilson's reactions during the entire ep, I ship Kutner/Wilson. My brain is messed up.)
