First of all, I'm officially finished with my student teaching. I have one form that I still have to get my cooperating teacher to sign (she told me that she'd given it to my professor and my professor that she'd given it to me; it's probably sitting on her desk at school somewhere), but other than that I'm done. All I have to worry about next week ( Read more... )

Stay away from Skilled Care behind the old hospital. There's a nursing home part to it too and it just sucks. The building is ole, you know this, and IT STINKS... I mean like fucking stinks. It needs to be overhauled completely.

Southern Manor (or whatever the fuck it is) seems to be a nice facility.

Father-in-law is in Donelson and it seems to be OK. Best friend's mom worked at Sunbridge and says it's an OK facility too. Really though Southern Manor would probably be great because I think it actually has an assisted living part instead of total nursing home care.

Am i making sense? Fuck i should not have to know all this shit

Congratulations! So nice to be all done, huh?

And i'm glad that your grandmother's doing well. It's also good that she admits she needs help. Sometimes people just *won't* and that's when they end up getting sicker or getting injured.
*hugs*

Until next year, when it sinks in that I'll be teaching teenagers for the rest of my life. ;-)

Congrats, and good luck on the job front. I'd love it if you never had to go back to work at Shoney's.

Even if I get a job lined up for January, I'll probably still have to go back to Shoney's for a little while unfortunately. *sigh* Otherwise, I'm not even going to have money to pay for basic things like rent and groceries.
