--

“Donghae, honestly, give me a hand.” Hyukjae called from behind, his hands occupied with huge luggage and bags and more next to his legs. The taxi was already growing impatient, honking his horn for them to pay up and be on his way and not deal with easily distracted youngsters. Donghae, for one, was such.

He could at least be one. It was not every day to get a free pass in one of Seoul’s finest vacation getaway, complete with large pools, large buffet, gym and other entertaining rooms the flyer proudly told him. Donghae quibbled at that; he didn’t know where to begin to look at that. There was the pristine interior, carpeted floor, with high ceiling, cool elevators - he would seriously play at that later! - and the next hall that beckoned him to visit just to see the beauty of the dining room. And, oh, there was also the garden - a maze of wonder, a must-see place to go.

Best things in life are free… Donghae sighed happily as he stared at their tickets, his and Hyukjae’s and remembered how by a sheer luck they got it, in the funniest way too. It should awkward, just him and his older step brother in a resort of supposed honeymoon weekend for someone else, but then again, there wasn’t anything to be complaining for. This was awesome even for him. A vacation with all expense paid. Him and Hyukjae, just the two of them to fill out the weekend with just about anything. To play, to eat, to laugh, to kis-

The whack on his head had stopped him from daydreaming, looking to see a snarling Hyukjae telling him to pay the driver up. He scrambled to his feet and did so, earning him curious glance and chuckles from nearby goers.

“Finally,” Hyukjae huffed. “Just what in the world were you spacing out for?” He asked, trying to balance their baggage.

“Uh…” Donghae didn’t want answer that. Instead, he slithered to the counter as quickly as he could, processed their papers and left a bewildering Hyukjae to join him inside the elevator.

He needed to get his mind straight.

He laughed dryly at the pun right there.

--

He literally dropped his heavy load to Hyukjae’s foot - much to the older’s dismay - as Donghae raced to the window that promised him a view like no other. He jumped for joy.

“Gosh, would you look at that! Great view of the garden and the city! We’re so lucky!”

“Hmm, yeah, lucky.”

Donghae didn’t hear the soft thud of the suitcases, nor the footsteps that was nearing him. The bags left forgotten, ignored by both. The door closing gently.

He was too enthralled to notice Hyukjae approaching him, encasing him with a hug behind; Donghae’s back to Hyukjae’s chest. Broad, soft and warm. He shouldn’t be getting jelly-legs. Well, at least not right now.

“Hyukjae…” Donghae breathed, like trying to will the shudder out of him slowly to behave normally. His hand covered the ones atop of him, wrapped around his waist tight and secure. He shouldn’t feel this too arouse so quickly, shouldn’t feel so much with a single touch. But Hyukjae was making him experience things so easily again. Like he always did.

This was wrong and yet Donghae felt the happiest still. His mind and body buzzed with it. He was trapped between the glass window and a hot body flushed to him. His gaze straight to the beautiful view outside, trying for calm but his mind raced a mile an hour just the feel of Hyukjae’s breath tickling the back of his neck, to his ears.

“Hey, Donghae… look at me,” Hyukjae whispered.

It was then their eyes met, his and Hyukjae’s searching ones, in a gaze that made Donghae’s heart skip a few more beat than normal. That he couldn’t stop himself from nearing that face, looking at those lips and closing his eyes and…

One of their phones rang in a melody that told that someone was calling. Donghae was so ready to hurl it somewhere out in the orbit, regardless who owned it.

It was Hyukjae’s, ringing inside his pocket.

“Oh, hey, mom. Yeah, we just arrived. The place? Mm, it’s good. Thanks again for the tickets. Yeah, Hae’s with me, we’re just… fixing our stuff. We’d be having lunch in a few. Sure, sure, I won’t forget,” Hyukjae glanced at Donghae and smiled his gummy smile. “Donghae says he misses you a lot already.”

“What! I do not!”

Donghae faintly heard the light laugh from the receiver. He laughed with it as well.

“Yeah, he does, mom. You and dad take care, okay? We’ll be back soon,” Hyukjae’s eyes met Donghae’s again, gazing intently and endearingly. “I’ve got Donghae. Will take care of him.”

He flushed at that, turning away and clearing his suddenly stuffed throat and heated face up.

“Bye, mom.”

He was at the door when he called Donghae - still in a blushing stupor - up; all calm and cool like nothing happened between them just a few moments ago.

“Gonna stand and stare all day, Hae? I’m hungry so let’s eat. Mom said to feed you now.”

Ah, Hyukjae was looking after him again.

He scurried to him, willing his mind to not go to strange places but swallowed at that. Because that would probably be a problem for the next hours just with Hyukjae, how the hell was he not going to think that way with Hyukjae advancing at him?

This was wrong, he knew of that. Even at the deepest recesses of his mind knew they shouldn’t behave like so. It would probably take a miracle to happen to the both of them. Donghae knew he was in too deep already, trap, in Hyukjae’s smiles, touches and his odd way of showing love - of both brotherly and otherwise.

--

“I wished I brought even just a decent camera.” Donghae sighed, staring fondly at the buffet table across and the people that flocked near to it.  The selection of food was already teasing his empty stomach. His eyes treated with wonderful candies to look at.

“Your memory is just fine. I’m sure you’ll remember everything you’ll do here.” Hyukjae helped.

“Yeah, well, they’d be so many I might forget even the littlest one,” he explained, reaching for the table napkin and playing with it. “I want to so many memories! But then again, oh well, we’re here now so-”

“We’ll enjoy without pictures, I’ll make sure.” Hyukjae continued, grinning. “So how about starting with-”

“Eunhyuk? Hey, is that you? Eunhyuk!”

Donghae was speechless at the sight of a man - mighty good-looking if his eyes were seeing right - snaking their way towards their table. Their hand already clamped tight on Hyukjae’s shoulder, holding him and smiling like they saw the most wonderful thing in the world.

“Soojin?” Hyukjae crocked, looking up, like not wanting to say the dreaded name. Donghae wondered why but chose to watch silently instead.

“Why, look at you! I didn’t see you in two months and you’re still as handsome as ever!” Soojin cooed, eyes on Hyukjae, before acknowledging Donghae existence next, “Oh, who’s this? New friend? Man, you always have new people around you.”

Hyukjae flashed Donghae a look, gaze conveying something deeper. “Donghae. He’s my… brother. We’re on a vacation. And I think we’ll be having our lunch now.”

Donghae thought for a moment that Hyukjae was trying to tell him to tell Soojin the same thing, to make him go away, as politely as they could. He wasn’t sure what to do though. He was too busy gawking at the foreign hand southing on Hyukjae’s arm.

Soojin yanked him up, insisted, too giddy. “Alright then! Get our plates, eat and we’ll catch up! I’m sure Donghae wouldn’t mind an old friend with you, right?”

“No, I really think we should talk some other time.” Hyukjae tried, with a little more force this time.

Soojin didn’t see the bubbling anger that was slowly immersing, too busy smiling and telling to get them food and drinks. Donghae passed him an assuring smile, urging him to go.

“That’s okay, Hyuk. We three can eat together.”

“Fantastic!”

“…”

Because the sooner this catching up was done, the better for them. Donghae didn’t seem to like this clinging Soojin person. Whoever he was. He was too close for comfort, body all but pressed to Hyukjae’s side.

Hyukjae left quietly, but Donghae saw him clenching his fist tightly like he would when he was trying to control his temper. Soojin was too bubbly to notice so, coming right so close to Donghae and grinning at him. All eyes disappearing and pearly whites showing.

“Brother, eh? Never knew he had one,” Soojin began.

“We’re… step-siblings. Hyuk’s mom, my dad,” Donghae explained, trying for general topics. He was starting to get uncomfortable with Soojin inching closer. Personal bubble ignored.

“Oh, is that so? I’ve been with Eunhyuk since two years ago and never would I expect him having a step-brother. And you call him Hyukjae? He doesn’t like people calling him his real name,” Soojin ventured on, grinning coyly. “You must be special.”

“I’m not,” though Donghae knew he was rather something for Hyukjae but didn’t know exactly what.

“Say, does he have girlfriend now?”

Donghae was taken aback with the sudden question. “No…?”

Soojin’s grin just got wider.

“Do you think you can help me get to him?” Soojin all but turned into a puppy, big-eyed and pouty lips person. It made Donghae’s skin crawl. “Every time I try to, Eunhyuk’s taken with several girls already. Back in the day, that was. I know he’s just fooling around but maybe he really needs someone, you know?”

Donghae’s chest got tighter, his heart constricting and mind racing. He didn’t even realize his was holding his napkin like he could crush it. What came next made his thoughts into a screeching halt.

“Eunhyuk. Your brother? I really do like him.” Soojin said, with low voice and lidded eyes. “Ever since.”

When did it get hot inside the dining area? Donghae was at loss. “I don’t think I can help…”

He wasn’t sure if he could help or didn’t want to help. His head was already exploding with lots of debates and things and just wanted Hyukjae to freaking show up already. He was starting to breathe harshly with emotions he suddenly couldn’t control. He felt confused, off, angry, and afraid. This Soojin person was…

“Yes, you can! Don’t you want your brother happy? He’s single and probably looking for love.” Soojin’s word stabbed him straight, his brain suddenly supplying thoughts he hadn’t considered before. Thoughts that made him stop and look ahead.

If… there was someone for Hyukjae and not him, his brother, then maybe this was for the better? It would work even more so, sounded even logical to him. A friend and a lover for Hyukjae. A partner who wasn’t defying the laws to be with another. Hyukjae would be better off without him.

Donghae clenched his teeth, easing his erratic heart. His gaze begged him to find the familiar back among the crowd in front of him.

He was in pain, just rationalizing their situation. His brother needed someone else, should touch someone else. Not him. Donghae was just not for him, his mind screamed at him.

“So, please? Let me have a good time with him.” Soojin pleaded.

And yet, the weight on his chest doubled. His mind wouldn’t stop the pressure that made him fidget. He wasn’t calming down, not even close. Not even when he saw Hyukjae hurrying to their table, he stood just as the Hyukjae placed their plates down.

“I forgot, I need to make a quick phone call with Sungmin. My phone’s back at the room,” Donghae lied, wanting to immediately leave area, to be away from the two. He missed to see the annoyance on Hyukjae’s face directed to the smiling Soojin and to him next.

“What? Now? Does it have to be now? Can you just make your phone call later?”

“It’s, uh, important. You guys go ahead, okay? Enjoy lunch,” and with that, Donghae left without much a look at Hyukjae’s shocked face.

“Hey, how about we…” Donghae heard Soojin’ s voice trailing behind him, not wanting to hear the words that came next.

--

The rest of the day was spent away from the room and seeing more of the resort. There was the huge pool, gym facilities, recreational areas and the garden. Donghae pocketed his card key, thankful that he had his and had the choice to go back whenever. He made sure to stay hidden from Hyukjae who was probably having a wonderful time with Soojin.

With someone else not him.

His hand found his chest, clenching it tightly. And shook his head, deciding. This is for Hyukjae. For the best.

--

“Look, I need to find Donghae,” Hyukjae said, over their dessert meal they were currently having, in the café next to the dining hall. He was itching to stand and leave, no matter how rude it was to.

“Oh, he’s probably with girls now. You know about finding romances in resorts like these, don’t you?” Soojin laughed. “C’mooon~ he’s all grown up and you’re probably all awkward spending the weekend with your brother,” Soojin said with mock expression, as if just saying it was horrible enough. “So save yourself with the embarrassment and stay with me instead.”

The knock on the coffee table made the people stare at them. The café suddenly quiet and tense. Soojin had his fork with a cake inches away from his mouth before staring surprised at the standing Hyukjae.

“Don’t ever come near me again. Don’t even dare coming near Donghae too. If I see you again and pray tell you don’t, I’ll seriously make sure you’ll never want to know me again.”

“Eunhyuk. You don’t seriously mean that.” Soojin soothed, placing his food down to reach for Hyukjae’s curling hands when the latter swatted him away.

“And Donghae can’t be with girls. Because he’s WITH me now.”

He stormed off, without a second glance at Soojin and finally did what he planned to do for this vacation: to be with Donghae.

--

Donghae came back, very late, that some areas inside the resort were closed and only a handful of people lurked outside. Carefully as he could, he opened their door and was greeted with a cold and dark room. Was Hyukjae asleep already?

His bed was kept clean and organized as he remembered it to be the last time he went back to check his phone, their belongings on one side and little foods on the other. It was a faint image of Hyukjae, on his own bed, covered with thick comforter and back turned, maybe sleeping. This was good.

He didn’t open any light, just used the light out from window to strip off his shirt and feel the draft. Now, if he could just reach for his sleeping shirt inside his bag…

“Where have you been?”

The voice froze him.

“You awake? It’s almost midnight.” Donghae gently said, trying to make of Hyukjae’s mood. He could be angry because he didn’t make any communication the whole day. “I looked at all the places here and nearly got lost. Would you believe that?”

He heard, not saw, Hyukjae shifting on his bed. His silence was slowly edging him.

“How was today? That Soojin seemed like an interesting person. He told me you were friends since two years ago?”

“Don’t wanna talk about it.” Hyukjae said lowly.

“Oh, why?” Donghae continued as he finally pulled down a clean shirt on his head and ready to divest off his pants for nice, comfortable sweats. “He seems interested in you. I can see the way he looks at you.” The last statement came out a little forcefully. Of course he saw how Soojin looked at Hyukjae in a short span of time; the strange man was ready to like consume Hyukjae.

“Really, let’s not.”

Donghae was already making his way to his bed, carefully threading into the darker parts of their room, still speaking and convincing Hyukjae. Convincing to what, he wasn’t really sure. To Soojin? His heart was already crumpling. “Why don’t you see him more often? You guys look good.”

Air was rushed out of him as he was tackled to his own bed, held by the wrists that were above his head and weights on his stomach to prevent him from retaliating. Hyukjae just pinned him down, body pressed to body and breathing louder and louder.

“I don’t want to see him,” he said under seethed breath. Donghae, trying to find Hyukjae’s eyes in the dark, swallowed at the sudden anger.

“But he wants you. And you guys…” Donghae quivered next. “You guys seem so good together. Won’t you give him a chance?”

“Donghae,” Hyukjae spoke above him; his face coming closer, hot breath passing against flushed cheeks and lips. “What are you trying to do?”

“I just want you happy. He said he’ll make you happy.”

“He will not!” Hyukjae fumed. “He’s persistent, annoying and keeps coming onto people with no consideration. He’ll do anything to get what he wants! I know him!”

“But, this will be better… for us.” Donghae resigned, his anxious self finally giving in. “We can’t continue what we’re doing, like right now. We can’t…”

Hyukjae shifted above him and then off him, a movement Donghae finally regretting leaving him. The warmth suddenly disappearing. “Is this how it is? Forcing someone else to me, for us? Going away, not even texting me just for me to spend a freaking time with some obsessed man? If you think you’re making me happier by doing so then you’re fucking winning a lottery.”

“I don’t mean to make it difficult! I don’t want it difficult! I just want-”

Donghae had reach into the shadows, not knowing where to direct his hand to a figure that blended into the dark. Hyukjae must have had stood up, backing away.

“You want what, safety? The easy way out?” Then Hyukjae’s voice began to grow distant. “Donghae, I know you. Even if you think I don’t, I do. Why are you even resisting? Don’t you want me? Didn’t it ever occur to you that I stopped seeing people after we met, after we became brothers? Didn’t you even consider how I feel about you? Didn’t you think YOU make me happier?”

“This isn’t righ…”

“I KNOW. Stop telling me that! You’re my little brother and I want to treat you like you’re all mine! Tell me how I can stop doing so when I’m with you every day? When I see you, hear you, learn more of you every day! Tell me!” Hyukjae’s voice was already shaking. “Can’t you be my sibling and my mate and everything I wanted, Donghae?”

Donghae found thick matter down his throat, finding it impossible to speak after hearing that.

“I’m going out,” was what Hyukjae said after a deafening silence that spanned too long yet too quick.

“Where are you going? It’s already so late!” Donghae argued back, feeling appalled at the thought of Hyukjae away even at this hour. He couldn’t think of anything Hyukjae could stay in to.

But Hyukjae was already at the door, with a jacket on and cap - the light from outside illumined him - and not even looking behind him. “Somewhere that isn’t here,” Hyukjae paused, to only speak harsher like it hurt him to. “It’s killing me to know you’re just a few inches away from me and I can’t touch you. Good night.”

“Hyukjae! Wai-”

The door closed before he could stop it. Donghae almost tumbled down with sheets on his legs, just trying to reach.

He stopped right there, questioning. His mind clouded, thoughts all jumbled up. He didn’t know what to do. Was he stopping Hyukjae to step out of his life or stopping himself in feeling the same way? There Hyukjae was, all but rejecting this mutual affection and it feared Donghae to do the same. There was no uncertainty with the older, not even a slight hint of fright even from before. Only his smile that was directed to Donghae, all because of Donghae.

Donghae wished to be stronger as he cradled himself next to Hyukjae’s bed, arms around folded knees and breathing deeply, not wanting to cry. How he wished he wasn’t so afraid. Even though he didn’t know what to do, he just wished things to be back to normal between them.

He waited for the door to open, hopeful, but he was tired, weary and his mind and body eventually gave in into the quiet darkness.

--

He rushed outside with only decent pants on and funky summer shirt he accidently packed inside his bag (he didn’t have the time to take a closer look what he took out from his stuff and only when he passed by a large mirror by the lobby that he gape a good three seconds). He probably shouldn’t worry irrelevant stuff like looking like an explosion of bad style with his hair sticking up in different direction and he was running around the area like a deranged man. Donghae needed to find Hyukjae and Hyukjae was still missing up until now.

That idiot! Where the hell did he sleep last night?! What the hell did he do?! He cursed multiple times over, coming to see no signs of Hyukjae at the dining hall or the other public areas. All that was left to check was the swimming pool. Though he couldn’t think of reasons why on earth Hyukjae would be hanging out in the pool.

He didn’t expect Soojin there, over the other side of the swimming area with a handful of Hyukjae. The latter couldn’t even seem to stand properly too, behaving clumsily and falling once then twice. The hell Soojin did to him! If his mind could send mental sharp dagger to the man, oh he would without a second thought.

“Eunhyuk! You really need get back inside! You’re seriously in no condition!”

He heard Soojin, tone worried, genuinely surprised as well.

“..n-no. He’s there… doesn’t want me there…” Hyukjae muttered, brokenly, like incoherent to actually say anything with sense. Donghae watched him prying himself off with the man holding him, trying to be upright but failing so, drooping at the arms that gripped him.

“Jesus, Eunhyuk. Get a hold of yourself.”

Hyukjae squirmed to be away, more violently, while uttering, “Don’t… only Hae…”

He didn’t watch what he stepped on, or the distance he was from the pool. He was too drunk-like to pay attention at the edge next to his foot that his weight and blind flailing made him and his body tilt towards the water. Soojin jumping in shocked.

“Eunhyuk!! You can’t swim!”

The water splashed loudly like an ominous warning.

Donghae knew that, learned that. Not too long ago when Hyukjae shared him one unfortunate experience regarding with swimming in a lake with their friends and he fell in by accident. It took three of his friends to haul him out. It took a day to gain consciousness. And it took one event to fear the water altogether.

That was as much as he could hear next, sprinting into action without even thinking. His legs just moved by instinct, plunging into the freezing water where Hyukjae was, falling slowly and movements stopping, and swam to save him. He could hear nothing but rapid heartbeat - his, perhaps - and gulping water.

Donghae felt he was the only one who should, taking the lithe body with one arm and the other moved them to surface. He didn’t know how long it took, how deep they fell into, because when he gasped for air, he needed a lot of it. Hyukjae choked too, for air but remained limp, like he was made boneless.

“Are you guys alright?!” One man, possibly a lifeguard, immediately rushed to them as more people flocked near them; Donghae struggling with pushing Hyukjae on safe, water-free concrete and then heaving himself up, drenched and shivering.

He was quiet, felt heavy but clutched the fainted Hyukjae against his stomach. So securely as if protecting him, afraid to let go. “I need… to take him to our room. Could you, could you help me? Please?” He was shaking, both from the cold and something else.

“Yes, sir. Of course.”

It was the oddest thing to feel in just a short time. Never did he have ever felt the fear of losing Hyukjae completely. It just stunned Donghae right to the core.

They left Soojin standing in a gaping stupor.

--

The clothes on him were heavy with water but he managed to strip them off, cautiously dipping Hyukjae on warm tub and earning himself a sigh in relief from the limp man. Carefully, he poured warm water on cheeks and gently cradled his head.

“Any better?”

“Yeah…”

“I’ll be right back to get you towels. Just, just warm yourself up before you catch a cold.”

The hand on his wrist stopped him from stepping out of the bathroom and Donghae looked back to see Hyukjae half off the tub.

“Don’t. You’re cold too. Join me, Donghae, please.”

“That’s…”

Hyukjae smiled bemusedly, not letting go and kept pulling Donghae closer until his knees bumped the edge of the tub. “I’m not going to do anything, I promise. I don’t want you to get sick.”

He had about a dozen to million reasons why he shouldn’t and two great reasons why he should (to not get sick AND he wanted to, anyway) yet he stripped off his wet clothes too, pondering if he should remove his last piece of undergarment when Hyukjae slid his palm against his and urged, “All of it.”

Because Hyukjae was as naked as he could possibly be, Donghae shouldn’t play unfair.

“No funny stuff.” Donghae reminded him as he step into the tub, stark naked and let himself be guided towards Hyujkae, sitting, his back resting against heaving chest and trying to relax and not see the man behind him.

A position they did not too long ago, when they first arrived inside their room.

And they stayed like that, sometimes shifting to make themselves fit inside the cramped space until water was on their necks, warming them up. Donghae’s knees folded, a patch of skins visible above water while Hyukae laid stretch, playing the back rest to Donghae. It was subtle the way Hyukjae’s hand found Donghae’s knees, touching it, kneading it with wet hands.

Donghae’s heart was multiply its beats to three’s and four’s at the heated palm.

“Got myself a little drunk in a bar near this. And when I knew I have to go back, I ended up passing out on the benches.” Hyukjae began, his fingers drawing circles on his skin. It made his thighs quiver. “You said you wanted to have as many memories as you can get but I don’t think it’s going our way, does it?”

“I waited for you and passed out myself. Slept on the floor and woke up with cramped neck and shoulders,” Donghae admitted, chuckling lowly that made the water move. He steeled himself next, trying his best to at least convey his feeling without needing to look at the person behind him. Looking so might just undo him. “It’s not. I’m sorry.”

“Never sorry for this,” Hyukjae pressed his chest against the large expanse of Donghae’s back just to loop his arms around him, drawing him in. Donghae couldn’t help to fit his head on the nook of his neck, snuggling but not exactly. He still wasn’t looking at Hyukjae. Too embarrassed to.

When he felt those supposed hands on his knees dipping to his thighs and down down down, he squirmed in surprise. Donghae could feel all blood rushing south. “Hyukjae, you said…”

“I said I wouldn’t do anything then.” With a smirk, soft palm grabbed the twitching shaft and gave it stroke, ringed fingers so tightly around Donghae, making him gasp.

“Hyukjae…”

He pumped, once, twice. By three Donghae was already shaking and boneless against Hyukjae. Toes curling, mouth open. He was being worked on so slowly and it was killing him. This tease.

“Please…”

It was only Hyukjae that could make him like this: begging, weak, questioning his stands and forgetting everything else. The water around him felt so cold all of sudden, all his senses heightened by a mere touch he couldn’t get enough. And when with a flick of his wrist wrist, hot breath close to his ears, whispering, Come for me. Only for me. It was then Donghae knew he was close.

With a last, breathy voice, Hyukjae spoke softly, “You are mine. Always. No matter what.”

Donghae released with a whimper, a sound he knew only meant for no one but Hyukjae.

--

The afternoon light was blocked out by the closed blinds, making the room darker on a sunny day. The aircon hummed rather quietly together with Hyukjae’s soft snoring and it made Donghae smiled. He watched his own bed, kempt and thought that next time they’d request a single bed only. They fitted just fine with one, under thick sheets and sticky skins and it was more than anything he could be happier for.

The arm on his waist was secured and Donghae touched that, running soft pads of his finger across the skin watching it got goosebumps. He chuckled, thinking just how sensitive Hyukjae could be even in his sleep.

Taking this as a chance to watch closely how Hyukjae’s face score a contented expression, all hair a mess but still good looking, he wondered just how was it going to be now that he acknowledged both of them, his feelings clear as Hyukjae’s advances.

Would it be difficult? Would it be something he could protect? He didn’t want hurting Hyukjae anymore. He wanted him to smile even more.

“I want you, everything of you. Your heart, your body, your love, mine.”

“Hyukjae…”

“And if you think you feel the same, kiss me. Here, now.”

Donghae didn’t make any move at that and just sat there, somewhat satiated with a swimming brain. He wanted him to kiss him but Hyukjae just made him…

He couldn’t think properly, feeling his member twitching in rebound at the thought.

“You know how I feel. Think about it.”

Hyukjae had once again hold him, using his remaining strength to heave them up together and towards the door. Swiftly taking any dry cloth for them to use, scrub here and there, and when he deemed they were dry enough, he pushed Donghae on the bed and loved him there again.

They didn’t kiss throughout. Just lips on neck, on chest, on navel, on intimate places. The contract still at hold, because Hyukjae didn’t want to persist, to force him. Donghae realized that, wanting more time to consider but with being teased, touched, loved, worshipped like this, there was no space to think at all.

Skin slid to skin, body flushed against body, Hyukjae atop of him, pushing onto him in gradual succession until it became rough, harsh and oh so good. The beds creaked, their moans louder and temperature higher. It was driving Donghae insane.

And on to the edge, coming once again in a shudder. He panted Hyukjae’s name, pleading at him for another. They needed to be closer, more sensual, more revealing. He couldn’t get enough.

He watched the exhausted body next to his, all curled and relaxed. This brother of his, Donghae mused, was the only person who could make him do things. Strange things. Wonderful things. Could he survive their next vacation, the upcoming days of renewed emotions? He was convinced that with Hyukjae, just only with him, it could be rollercoaster of events.

Donghae snuggled back, feeling the cold biting onto his chest and ears, to the warmer side of the bed, under warmer blankets. He carefully settled himself, all comfortable and face merely inches away from Hyukjae’s sleeping one.

“And if you think you feel the same, kiss me. Here, now.”

Mine, he murmured, before closing the distance between them to kiss Hyukjae softly on the lips. The contract sealed, the feeling sorted. He was not regretting this.

--

Donghae checked themselves out, having to smile pleasantly at the ladies over the counter gawking at him. Today was a good day to smile, he thought as he bowed and left.

Suddenly, Soojin came barreling from nowhere, towards Hyukjae who was left standing near the entrance of the resort. Donghae watched the spectacle rather amusedly.

“What happened to you yesterday? I demand to know! You falling off the pool and then disappearing and I thought you checked out, only to catch you still here! Eunhyuk, you better start telling me things!” Soojin all but roared at him.

“No way,” he brushed him offhandedly; so cool and calm, like the Hyukjae Donghae knew of. “See ya.”

“Hey!”

Donghae took this chance to come back, telling Hyukjae that a taxi was coming to get them. With Soojin still standing like a statue behind them, Hyukjae smirked and held Donghae’s hand. Fingers twined and palms pressed.

“I said no funny stuff.” Donghae warned but didn’t let go.

“But this is really funny, Hae.” Hyukjae said, smug, before turning his head to Soojin to smirk. When they finally loaded their luggage and slip inside the taxi, Hyukjae was sure to hear someone fainting in the lobby.

A/N: Surprise? No, actually, I meant to say that I won’t be updating this verse from time to time like a chaptered-series because, well, it isn’t actually one, per se. Just a collection of various events under the same universe is what I intended to tell.

But then, ugh, sorry for the whole mixed up and confusion for this. I’m not even sure where I’m going with this either. I said before I’m done with this verse and then a few days or weeks, updating like a poof of sprouting mushroom. I’m indecisive like this. Hope this doesn’t change anything between us? Little sunshine author to cute viewers like yourselves?

So answering the question: is this - this update - the last? Like the lastest of the last last last? Like no more updates none at all? I would say, with much a degree of certainty, that no. This would be not the last (of me! Hur hur hur!). BUT. There’s the but. But I won’t update this regularly. (Unless you prompt me?)

I’ll be completely honest, no indecisiveness whatsoever: there are so many scenarios in my head for this universe. I’m inspired by little things to the biggest and I just find so much amusement writing Donghae and Hyukjae as step-siblings and lover predicament. Don’t you smell the drama and sexiness of it all?

(..and then I happened to take a three-day vacation in a wonderful country club, so you’re probably already guessing where this plot came from. And no, sadly, I didn’t have any romantic overture unlike the EunHae pair. I wish I did? Hahahaha~ OMG. Too much information.)

So, well, if you’re still reading this part, thank you. And thank you for tolerating my whirlwind surprises and decisions and oddness. And long-winded stories. Here, have a bag of gratitude cookies, courtesy of me~ (though I seriously think this 5K of written sappy work is… sappy. Ugh.)

I love you, guys~ *kiss*
