I'm with you on the theory that Tony was likely killed. I've come to appreciate the ambiguous ending because it forces you to think about how fragile Tony's world really was. He could have died or lived in that moment, and both would have been believable. Talk about anxiety.

Heh. I think Paulie was my favourite character. Somehow the fact that Tony Sirico's performance wasn't very good actually made the character more believable. He was a simple guy. A phony, but a genuine phony, like Holly Golightly.

I like that. He's definitely one of my favorites. I haven't watched the show in years, but I can still picture Paulie's character.
