I do want to watch 'Whirlpool', though; Amazon keeps trying to recommend it to me, too. (Probably because I'll watch any old nonsense if it's in black-and-white and the packaging looks classy.)

He does look exactly like him in this movie. It would be sort of cool if Jose Ferrer and Ingrid Bergman had starred in a movie together and then David Lynch directed a sequel starring Miguel Ferrer and Isabella Rossellini. He does seem to like actors who look exactly like their famous actor parents.
Probably because I'll watch any old nonsense if it's in black-and-white and the packaging looks classy.
It is a good movie. I'm not sure I sold it properly here. It's not as good as Laura but it's not bad.
