Democrats have been wanting to set up Limbaugh as the face of the right wing for a long time, and I say it's a good idea.

Heh. You talk like the right would actually see a reason to be ashamed of this. Or like the man isn't kind of already their public face. I certainly haven't heard anyone on the Right rushing to denounce the man as an extremist any time recently. Of course, I haven't looked very hard...

Not seeing anything skimming the first five pages... yeah, I don't really feel like looking that hard, sue me. :p Short attention span ho!

Not ashamed--it's more like Limbaugh represents their ultimate vision in a purer form than a smart politician realises the public is ready for. He gives away the game too quickly.

Hm, yeah... I guess my question is more whether there's that much of the game left for the right to give away. Lately it's just seemed like one "Holy Shit" moment after another with them. Although it's true that it seems more like reactions from the rank-and-file than the polished politicians, e.g. the crowd at the GOP debate cheering at the idea of letting the uninsured die from lack of care. I guess it comes as more of a surprise to me (albeit a pleasant one, say what you will about low expectations) that Rush can still say anything that'll get him in hot water with his sponsors.

Yeah. I for one prefer horrifically bad policy ideas be presented in the ugly vitriol befitting them and thereby have an easier time catching just desserts.
