Happy May Day, everyone. Of course, yesterday was May 1st here in Japan so I had my annual viewing of The Wicker Man (1973) last night

P.S. It had been on my one-of-these-days list for ages, and your post prompted me to look for it. I wasn't sure I was going to stick with it because I found it hokey-clunky for a long time. Then Christopher Lee appeared...and the ending was hokey-horrific.

I liked the vampiric echo of "of your own free will." I wonder if it was intentional.

True, that line sounds a bit like Dracula saying, "Enter freely." I don't know if it was intentional. Lee is a great part of the film. Also fellow Hammer vampire Ingrid Pitt in a small role is nice.
