I first saw him- and fell in love with him- as Henry VI in The Wars of the Roses- a RSC production that was filmed by the BBC. That's a tremendous performance. I also saw him- on stage- as Hamlet.

The Guardian obituary says his Hamlet was great. I'd really love to see that Henry VI.
