There an excellent TV film from 1987- with an all star cast- and Pinter himself as Goldberg.

I haven't seen the Friedkin. In fact I had no idea it existed until now. All I can say is that the '87 version left a lasting impression. Pinter was a damn good actor- at least in his own material.
